Alyssa Milano on revealing her NASCAR secret

Has anyone ever told you a juicy piece of gossip and you swore to keep it secret? All of a sudden each conversation that follows feels like you’re sitting on a witness stand.

If they just said, “Hey, no big deal, but listen to this…” you’d forget it seconds later, and never tell anybody. But when they say, “Don’t tell a soul!” for some reason our poker faces melt off and we’re an open book.

That’s kind of what happened to me recently while sitting in the guest’s chair on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” I had been waiting and waiting and waiting to tell this huge, exciting secret. I couldn’t wait any longer! So I told millions of people.

I’m part of the NASCAR family! How the heck am I supposed to keep that one under wraps? Would you?

That’s right, my women’s fashion collection, Touch by Alyssa Milano is now available for all female NASCAR fans! And, I’m absolutely thrilled to let everyone know.

Better yet, you don’t have to leave this site to see the new NASCAR styles. They’re all right here on NASCAR.com. Visit www.nascar.com/superstore to check them out!

As you guys may know, I’m a passionate sports fan. And I love sharing that passion with other sports fans. And no one is more passionate than NASCAR fans.

That’s why I’m so excited about bringing Touch to NASCAR. I’m hoping that the millions of female NASCAR fans will love it as much they love NASCAR. I mean, the first rule of being a NASCAR fan is choosing your favorite driver, right? The new Touch Collection will help you do just that. Gotta support your guy – or girl … and look stylish doing it!

Women flock to the race tracks every weekend as much as men do. I don’t think there’s any sport with a more loyal female fan base than NASCAR. It’s a perfect fit!

So I hope you guys love the new Touch NASCAR Collection. I’m really proud of it, and excited to be able to finally share it with all my fellow female NASCAR fans.

See you at the races!

Peace, Love and NASCAR, Alyssa

Alyssa Milano: Talent helps child stars stay on track

Alyssa Milano doesn’t think every child actor is bound to get in trouble with the law.

The 40-year-old actress appeared on screens as a preteen in the 1980s sitcom “Who’s The Boss,” and thinks her genuine gift of being an actress has kept her from going off the rails.

“I hope it’s talent,” she told Maxim magazine. “That was an era when TV child actors just didn’t work after their show was over.”

The “Mistresses” star believes that only certain people have been able to hold on to regular jobs while maintaining their wholesome image.

She counts “Married With Children’s” Christina Applegate, 41, as another actress who has done well out of starting work early in life.

“I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us,” she confessed.

Milano welcomed her first child with her CAA agent husband David Bugliari in 2011.

She thinks that troubled stars like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes didn’t have much chance of have a healthy career and personal life to begin with.

“I have a great family, and I look at a lot of these kids who struggle in the industry and think they’d have struggled no matter what they did,” she admitted.

New article: Alyssa Milano Strips Down, Husband So Not Bothered by It

Alyssa Milano may be showing us all kinds of sexiness lately, but her husband David Bugliari isn’t worried one bit.

“He’s very supportive,” Milano told me just about a month ago at the Billboard Music Awards. “He’s [a talent] agent, so he’s used to this crazy business.”

Milano appears braless underneath a flannel shirt while wearing a pair of shorter-than-short shorts on the cover of Maxim magazine’s July issue.

The 40-year-old mom of one not only sizzles there, but she’s also steaming up television with her provacotive new prime-time soap, Mistresses.

“We have such a solid relationship,” Milano said of her marriage. “Nothing could sway that.”

The former Charmed star and the Creative Artists Agency agent married almost four years ago at his family’s estate in New Jersey. Milano wore a Vera Wang gown. Guests included Bugliari’s client Bradley Cooper.

The couple had been dating for more than a year when Bugliari popped the question.

Milano gave birth to their first their first baby, son Milo, 10 months ago. “Two days ago, he said, ‘I love you, mama,'” she said at the Billboards. “I died. I was crying. I was such a mess.”

And look for more little ones sooner than later. “I’ve had such a great time being pregnant that you’re probably going to see me more pregnant than not in the next few years because I’m really digging it,” Milano told me back when she was still preggers in May 2011.

Mistresses premiered on June 3. “It’s Disney/ABC so it’s not too naked. Mickey wouldn’t approve,” Milano said. “But it is saucy, for sure.”

She is one busy lady. It was announced earlier this month that she was replacing Carolyn Murphy as the new host of Project Runway All Stars. The latest round of the fashion competition show is expected to premiere in the fall with returning judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman.

Here’s hoping Milano does double duty as a model during a lingerie challenge.

New article: Alyssa Milano on Pets and Best Friends

Kudos to some of our lovely followers over on twitter for the heads up on this article!

Currently starring in the ABC television series Mistresses, hosting Project Runway All-Stars, and designing for TOUCH, her own clothing and jewelry line, Alyssa Milano still makes time to help her friends—the two- and four-legged kind.

Being an ambassador for Best Friends Animal Society, a leading animal-welfare nonprofit, is one of her favorite roles. “I believe we should extend our care and concern to all living creatures with whom we share this planet,” she told PARADE. “Best Friends Animal Society’s vision of a better world through kindness to animals resonates strongly with me. It is inclusive and active and always adds measurably to the goodness in the world.”

Animals have always been an important part of her life. “They give me a window into a world that is different from our own, but every bit as meaningful,” she says. “The fact that millions of loving, homeless pets die in shelters is a national disgrace. Best Friends’ mission, to bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets, a time when animals are not dying in shelters for the simple lack of a home, is something I can really get behind.”

When Milano was growing up in Brooklyn, NY, dogs were an important part of her family. “I can’t imagine what life would be like without animals,” she says. “They bring me happiness and a sense of calm and peace.”

She currently has four dogs: Lucy, Gibson, Dodger, and Quixi; 10 horses: Picaflo, Petey, Sarafina, Nostalgia, Peace, Echo, Cisco, Luna, Maestro, and Harmonia; two chickens; and a bunny. “Lucy and Gibson are rescues,” she says. “Lucy was rescued from a yard where she was tied up.”

Her son, Milo, who is almost two years old, also shares her love of animals. “Our dog, Dodger, and Milo are great friends,” she says.

When she brought Milo home from the hospital, she and her husband, David Bugliari, hired a dog trainer to help their dogs get used to and adjust to Milo. It was smart planning, and now everyone gets along.

She also enjoys being around animals at work. “My first job was the play Annie,” she says “There was a big beautiful shelter dog that was in our production. We had a cat on Charmed for a while. I love working with animals. It makes being on the set feel more homey.”

In addition to helping Best Friends, Alyssa serves as an ambassador for UNICEF and is the founding ambassador for the Global Network.

Project Runway: Filming day one!

Alyssa has already began filming the third season of “Project Runway: All Stars”! A photo surfaced online earlier today, showing Alyssa in a beautiful dress by Marchesa Fashion. I’m not sure when the show will premiere yet, but I will let you all know as soon as I find out!

Alyssa Milano may not be known for her fashion expertise, but the “Who’s The Boss?” star sure knows television. That’s why it makes sense that Milano is the new host of “Project Runway All Stars.”

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reveals that Lifetime has tapped the actress for the third season of the “Project Runway” spinoff series. Milano will be joining our favorite chatty designer, Isaac Mizrahi, and the oh-so-glam Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, who both are returning judges.

Since “Project Runway” has become a household TV staple, Milano has big shoes (stilettos?) to fill — models Angela Lindvall and Carolyn Murphy have each hosted the previous two seasons of “All Stars,” while Heidi Klum has hosted the entire 14-season run of the original show. So unlike the typical runway-walking host, Milano’s fashion resume might seem a bit skimpy. (She does have a clothing and jewelry line, though.)

Perhaps a little Hollywood star power is just what the show needs to stay relevant. Tell us: Do you think Milano has what it takes to be “in” on “Project Runway”? Watch the season three premiere this fall to find out.

Alyssa Milano: Little Mermaid’s Ariel Was Based on Me!

Alyssa Milano has always looked like a Disney princess, and as it turns out, The Little Mermaid is actually based on what she looked like as a child!

Wednesday on The Wendy Williams Show, the 40-year-old actress was asked point-blank, “Were you the inspiration for this character [Ariel]?”

“I actually was,” Milano replied, smiling about the iconic 1989 movie. “I didn’t know that when it was going on, but they asked me to host the making of The Little Mermaid and it came out there that the drawing and likeness of The Little Mermaid was based on pictures of me from when I was younger, which is so cool!”

“Doesn’t that just make you want to dye your hair red and wear a clamshell bra all the time?” Williams asked.

“Yes,” Milano quipped. “That’s how I walk around at home.”

Hopefully in a house filled with gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, whozits and whatzits galore, and thingamabobs—at least 20.
